Friday 19th September - walks ****** – Felixstowe and Waldringfield
– sunny and hot.
Walk 1 – Sunrise Felixstowe prom.
After yesterdays full-on 30 mile windsurf foil I was sound asleep when Mag
headed out for her daily sunrise stroll along Felixstowe prom, luckily I
woke at 6.15 and noticed out the back bedroom window that the sky looked
very promising for a good sunrise, so I quickly dressed and nearly ran down
the to seafront! I made it just in time to catch one of the best sunrises
of the year with the sky on fire enhanced by the bank of small clouds, just
beautiful, felt good to be alive! I got my best pic of the reflection of
the pier in a large puddle before walking back up the hill and meet Mag
returning home at the top of the pram walk, great start to the day, I was
actually disappointed not to get a pic on the TV weather today:( I nearly
forgot, while doing my exercises I spotted a flock of large white birds
flying overhead, I thought they were swan but were too quiet so think they
must have been spoonbills, I wish I had my camera ready but they were too
quick!
Walk 2 – Woolverstone to Pin Mill.
Friday is Maeva day so as usual I managed to complete my exercises in a
sunny, warm back garden before Mag goes to pick her up! I did not have to
pack a picnic today as we had been invited to lunch by an friend who lives
in Waldringfield, we actually childminded her from a baby and is now in her
early 20.s, she is like one of the family:) We stopped to Hemley to pick up
4 bags of horse manure, Mags absolute birthday treat ecery year, she is
easily pleased, Maeva was less than impressed to find the van full of
smelly horse poo! We were treated to a lovely lunch, many things freshly
baked before we set off of a lovely walk along country lanes leading down
to the River Deben just above Waldingfield. We ambled back to the Maybush,
Maeva walked a bit hen gave up and went in the buggy where she quickly
dozed off! Back at the van we said our goodbyes and headed to Katies plants
where Mag bought a selection of plants helped by Maeva! Home for a few
cartoons and a few books before taking Maeva home.
Chris Page said this was the last sunset before 7 this year so I headed
down to Felixstowe dock view point to see it, what a top day we had:)
